Weekly Finals.....a bit late

Sorry this post is a little behind this week.  With the hospital stay for my son and just having come back from out of town, I am SERIOUSLY behind on couponing and shopping.

I'll start with my finds today.  Yesterday I did the necessary items (see below), but today I was able to hit Teeter while the kids where at preschool.  I did a bit of iPhone web searching and activating of e-Vic coupons to maximize the trip.  Keep in mind, I have a stack of coupons to file the size of Mt. Helen, so I just went in to the store with the ones I needed.

Retail:  $88.40
OOP:  $35.50
Savings:  $52.90 or 60%
*I also got a $2 catalina and $1.50 catalina for the swanson broth and mccormick spice purchases!  These will work anywhere since they are MQ, so that was a nice surprise.*

As for the necessities, I did a quick scan of my favorite match-up sites yesterday and ran out to get the weeks worth of items.  We were really low on meat and produce, so I went for the store with the best meat deals.  That happened to be BiLo.  Didn't have a chance to grab a picture before we put everything away, but here is the breakdown.

Retail:  $137.98
OOP:  $82.44
Savings:  $55.54 or 40%
*I only used 9 coupons for more than 35 items, so that isn't too bad*

I also ran over to Walmart to see if I could grab some of the overage items like razors and scrubbing bubbles, but no luck.  I did grab Purina One Beyond Dog Food with the nice $4/1 coupon from this Sunday's paper.  I even found a coupon lying on a bag in the aisle, so was able to pick up 17.5lbs of food (5, 3.5lb bags) for $15.  It's normally $32.40 for that many bags, so a 50% savings is great!

How was everyone else's week?
