CVS-ing!

I was excited to head over to CVS this morning after reading about the great deal on Huggies diapers!  This is one product we are very loyal to in our house.  With my youngest still in diapers/pull-ups, I still stock up.  He's no where near potty training yet.  And I love these new slip-on diapers.  Absorbency of a diaper with a pull-up ease!

What I added to my trip was the L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner.  I read a blog post from Or So She Says a while back about sulfate free hair products and figured I'd give it a shot.  My hair is wavy/curly, fine, and dry.  Definitely has changed since I've had kids.  It has always been wavy and fine, but never as thin or dry as it is now.  Can we say....stress!  We'll see if this new product helps.

So, with an ECB deal on that as well, I figured now was the time to try it out.

Here is how I did:

Retail:  $41.97
OOP:  $15.98
ECB Remaining:  $5
Savings:  62% (not counting the left over ECB)

Not bad, considering the diapers alone were $27 retail or $18 with my (3) $3/1 coupons.  I did also use $4 ECB from last week to make the deals even better.

And, yes, that is a HALF bag of candy corn.  The kids have already dug in!

  1. Ah, a couponing queen. You go girl! This is one talent I have yet to develop.

But we are completely debt free except for our house if that counts for anything! And we budget like crazy.

Anyway, very cool blog, and thank for visiting and commenting on mine!!

  2. Serene - thanks for commenting! not a queen by any standard, merely a court jester with a goal of being debt free :) I am the poster child for what NOT to do with money! I envy those that are debt free, so I tip my hat to you and your husband for doing it with 5 kids! look forward to reading more of your blog.
